Johnny Headband Premiere New Video, Give Away Free EP!

10-12-2009 by ShockHound

Even with the magic of today's recording technology, making a record can be a difficult, frustrating and even dangerous task. And yet, so many fledgling artists enter into the process with nary a thought to the pitfalls that potentially await them. Which is why Detroit electro-rock quartet Johnny Headband want you to watch their new short documentary video, "The Making of Phase 3."
The video, which makes its world premiere on ShockHound, offers a brief but fascinating glimpse into the creative process  behind the white-suited band's latest endeavor, their newly-released Phase 3 EP.
"We labor meticulously over each and every detail at Johnny Headband," explains Headband co-founder Keith Thompson, who also plays bass for Electric Six. "A camera crew followed us around to see the behind the scenes process first hand.”
Thrill as the cameras take you behind the scenes at the JH factory for a journey into the musical belly of the beast. Just click the "play" button up above, and you'll be well on your way to a deeper understanding of how babies — whoops, we mean records — are made.
But wait — there's more! The semi-reclusive band (whose lineup includes Pas/Cal guitarist Pan!c) is so stoked about how all their hard work came to fruition, they want to give you the Phase 3 EP for free! That's right, folks; you can download any or all of the EP's three tracks from ShockHound, and it won't cost you a damn dime! And really, how cool is that?
