LISTEN: Slayer — "Hate Worldwide"
Okay people, what's a six-letter word for "Heavy Friggin' Metal"? If you answered S-L-A-Y-E-R, you've hit the nail right on the bloody head — and you'll be as stoked as we are to know that you can hear "Hate Worldwide," the second single from Slayer's forthcoming album World Painted Blood, on ShockHound before you can hear it anywhere else.
The Kerry King-penned track, which continues in the brief-but-brutal vein of "Psychopathy Red" — the album's first single, which has been streamed over 500,000 times since it was leaked last October — will be sold as a limited-edition CD single, available exclusively at Hot Topic stores beginning tomorrow (Tuesday, July 28). It's perfect summer beach music, at least for those planning on sunning themselves along the burning shores of the Lake of Fire, and King and the dudes have kindly consented to let the 'Hound host an advance stream of the complete track.
Produced by Greg Fidelman (who's previously logged knob time with Metallica, Slipknot and Life of Agony, to name just a few) and executive produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, World Painted Blood is allegedly being positioned for a late-summer release — but you don't have to wait until then to get your Slaytanic rocks off. Not only are Slayer still out on the Mayhem tour with Marilyn Manson, but you can just click the play button above and turn your home or office into an instant mosh pit!

All of you,'New School' clowns that are bagging METALLICA, and think that SLAYER are now a disappointment......place your nead in a bucket of water and take some really deeeeeeep breaths! like it or not, Metallica are gods of metal and SLAYER would.....ahem....SMASH YA FACE IN! I think I can here your 'KISS' C.D skipping....."I was made forI was made forIwas made forIwas made for loving you baby.....
Not bad!!!!Real Slayer is Reign in blood,Hell awaits,Show no mercy,Seasons...........Divine....not this.Riffs....3+,drums....3+...(this is not Dave).Sorry..........disappointnent
Metallica are the poster children for desperation. I especially love how hard they are now that they came out with their latest attempt to not suck. Bah.
Awesome, great thrash metal.
Hell yes. SLAYER "The GODS OF IMMORTALITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Greetz from fucking Germany! BRUTAL AS FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As usual, great intro, great tempo change, painful solos, dark vocals, and a bleak yet refined world view. Slayer is a group of guys that play metal, they aren't artists. So you guys should't discuss growth or make any comparisons discussing growth as artists.
SLAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!
Hey Mr Abyss, Why would Slayer need to put out a "death magnetic" type album? They never turned into a bunch of little bitches like metallica. That album was just a feeble attempt to get back some respect from their original hardcore fans. Slayer has grown, they have grown into the greatest metal band ever. They have an army of the most loyal hardcore fans to ever walk the earth who have been supporting them since day 1. Slayer has never betrayed us with their music or style. They keep it real and do not need to make attempts at a new fan base because they never lost their original fans... Slayer Rules!!!
"growing as artists". Sorry for the typo.
If "growning as artists" means compromising your musical beliefs, and catering to the masses, instead of being true to yourself, then you shouldn't listen to slayer. You have no clue what they are about, or what they stand for. The song sounds great. Plenty of people in the Slayer army. Don't like anything for the past decade??? There's the door.
true maan :) i want this album so much !!! can't wait :) hell yeah !!! SLAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the heaviest band of all times !!!
Fuck! I am soooo sick of hearing everyone bashing Slayer's music - if everyone who has hacked on their music can show me they can have a successful band for 30 years and still have an original line-up I might listen to them. In the words of Glen Benton 'If you don't like it, don't buy it'. Honestly fuck off and listen to a new school poser band and stop trying to bring down one of the best bands on the planet. I'm looking forward to the new material, it will be better than most of the shit that has been produced for last 15 years by the newer school bands, at least it's true to form and you know it's Slayer. It's metal, it's an expression, and like most forms of art doesn't need the observer to like or dislike it to exist or for others to appreciate - can't wait to buy World Painted Blood.
hahahah maan you're sick death magnetic is bunch of shit ... so weak ... i hate metallica for their last two albums - so commercial :D pfffff hahahaha SLAYER never gonna make this mistake - they will stop making music before that !!! so like i said the song is brutal and awesome and the album will be the same like the all albums of SLAYER just pure hevy fast brutal energy !!! love this band it's all about fuckin SLAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER !!! FOR LIFE !!!
Awful. Overhyped the "return" to Seasons, RIB, etc. And this is nothing more than recycled crap that they've been putting out for 10+ years. I had high hopes that they'd have their own type of "Death Magnetic" resurgence. But that's clearly not going to be the case.
satan loves you!
HELL YEAH SLAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER TILL DEATH !!!
Some of you haters are not real Slayer fans. Slayer can do whatever they want. I am pushing 40 years old and come from the old school Slayer addicts. They are the one band that has my never ending respect. I love it. This song kicks ass. I hope they keep pushing albums to their graves. Slayer Rules!!!
i love this song just can't stop listen it :) cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers SLAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER !!!
It sounds like Slayer to me! Hell yea! You guys are all freaking out because of one song... seriously, Slayer doesnt want to write what everyone else thinks they should write! They are going to do what ever the hell they want! If your a true slayer fan, you'll understand that. If not, thats your problem! No one can tell slayer how to write, they'll just tell you where to go and how to get there!
With reference to infamousbutcher73's comment. You don't have to take what Slayer or any other band gives you. If you don't like it don't buy it. Unless the other tracks on the album are much better I won't be giving Slayer any more of my money. Somehow I think my money is safe....
Old fogies still showing them young bucks how it's done! Long live the Kings!
My appologies to PeteWisdom. My comment I guess was supposed to be aimed toward Mirafioriman, the indivdual who was trashing what Slayer wants to feed us pets.
OMG!!! I didnt expected so fucking great song. New riffing which sound different than on albums before... fucking good soloing. Yea its speedy song... but it is slayer... This is new fucking face of slayer.. and... i LOVE this new face!
PURE POWER !!! SLAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER !!!
Infamousbutcher - I think you are confusing me with someone else. I said that I like the song, and the other guy is crazy if he's expecting a lot of bass.
sorry for my english. 1 time it descended on me by the fast changing flood of sounds(and notes). Then i've read some comments. 2 time i realized all music stuff...-jewellery thing..(i mean-very good job).Slayer(or slayer music) can't be boring.Sounding is clear and the mood of the song is optimistic(it is not sad)...I was impressed
I love The tune Cannot wait until the cd comes out. I am going to the mayhemfest in camden nj pit baby!!!
Pete Wise up bud. It's Slayer and we have to take what they give us. Either love it for what it is or don't be a Slayer fan and denounce yourself from the Slayer Nation. Heck... might as well go fly a kite.
Can't we all just get a bong? LOL
Can't we just all get along?
Sounds just like much of the Album Christ Illusion. Pretty standard boring stuff. Plenty of good shredding on the track, but the track itself is pretty lame. Talk is cheap guys.
psycho78 please get new a stereo with bigger speakers :D that's not primus !!! this is fuckin SLAYER every time gets harder and faster and better :) and if you don't like it you have a serious problem maan :D SLAYER FOR LIFE !!! cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers !!!
I absolutely LOOOOVE this song BRUUUTALLLL!!!
All I'm saying is that there are other Slayer Albums with practically no bass. I hear it here. Granted its not very "prominent" but Slayer's never been about bass.
There's a difference between not a lot and none at all.
I like it. I'm excited for the release. psycho78 - Its a Slayer Album. Tell me how many of their albums have a lot of low end? God Hates Us All anyone?
!!! the song is fuckin awesome :) can't wait the album :) hope to have it soon :) keep making the greatest music !!! rock on ! full respect :) wish ya best ! CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERS !!! SLAYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER FOR LIFE !!!
Where's the bottom end?
Well I think it's true Slayer and bad ass!! (although some ripping double bass would have been nice) They are the only old school metal band that hasn't wussed out over the years, sorry Metallica. )o:
Sounds a little flat
Not impressed... this is pretty terrible. Time to retire guys...
Horrible. The opening riff was cool, but the song is so substandard and yet another in the decade plus of boring songs. I had very high hopes for this album based on all the hype they've given it and how they've evoked the past albums of their glory years. But this is just... boring. Even without the compression used for streaming, there's nothing more than a few riffs that create any excitement. I really hope this is their final album. Unlike some of their contemporaries, Slayer appears to be unable to return to the form that we once loved. Sadly, they're also unable to grow as artists.
Meh. It's not that good. Is it even mastered? Because at times the quality sounds as if this is just a demo. Take this crap back to Greg and have the dude re-produce it.
