Eminem To Bro Down With Stewie Griffin

05-11-2009

Eminem and Stewie Griffin

Eminem will get the Seth MacFarlane treatment this Sunday night, May 17, as he appears alongside Family Guy’s Stewie Griffin to host FOX’s Animation Domination lineup.
A cartoon version of the hip-hop star, voiced by the real Slim Shady himself, will appear in segments between shows with his (possibly gay) infant co-host to banter and inevitably plug the release of Relapse, his first album in four years, which drops next Tuesday May 19. Em will also make some sort of super secret surprise MySpace Music announcement on the show (we have no clue what it is — honestly, we wouldn’t hold out on you).
The pairing comes as somewhat of a surprise, given that Stewie was quoted in a 2003 MTV Music Awards pre-show special as saying, “I say, Eminem and 50 Cent wouldn’t know a proper lyric if it crawled up their ass and brought them to orgasm through prostate stimulation.”
Despite the strong words, the two were able to put their differences aside for the filming, perhaps bonding over their respective well-publicized mommy issues.
"It was a thrill to work with Stewie," Eminem said about the young FOX star. "I'm a big fan of talking babies and their humor." On working with Eminem, Stewie said, "I was just about to meet him, but after I shook hands with his stylist, his assistant, his lawyer, his bodyguard, his other bodyguard, his photographer, his manager, his hanger-on, his flower girl, his driver, his videographer, his notary, his historian, his her-storian, his texter and his own greased-up deaf guy, I got the swine flu."
If seeing an animated version of the Relapse-d singer isn’t enough Marshall Mathers for you, Em will also make the rounds on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a triple dose of performances on Friday, May 15, Tuesday, May 19 (the day the album is released), and a final performance on the following Friday, May 22, live via satellite from his hometown of Detroit.
