ShockHound's Final Weeks: The FAQs



Dear Dedicated ShockHound Users -
 
As you probably already know, ShockHound has gone to that great doghouse in the sky. Our lights officially went out when the clock struck 12:01 AM on the morning of May 10.
     Since we figured you might have questions, and we don't wanna just leave you in the lurch, we went ahead and compiled a helpful FAQ list to let you know what's up. But if your question isn't answered below, feel free to give customer service a ring at 1-866-272-1124.
 
I still have a ShockHound gift card. What do I do with it?
 
You can still redeem your ShockHound gift card on HotTopic.com or at any Hot Topic store.
 
I have a balance in my Piggy Bank. What happens to that?  
 
There are several ways to empty out your ShockHound virtual Piggy Bank. You can call our customer service department at 1-866-272-1124 and choose from one of the following options:
           
1. Donate your Piggy Bank balance to the Hot Topic Foundation, which supports music and arts programs for kids. Find out more about it here: http://community.hottopic.com/content/ht-foundation.
 
2. Transfer your Piggy Bank balance to a Hot Topic gift card good for use in all Hot Topic stores and online at HotTopic.com. This option will take 4-6 weeks to process.
 
3. We'll cut you a check for the amount of your Piggy Bank balance, and mail it to you. This option will also take 4-6 weeks to process.
 
I have something I need to return. Can I still do that?
 
Of course! Please save the invoice you received with your package. It's your receipt! Your returns process must be initiated by calling our customer service department (at 1-866-272-1124) within 45 days of your purchase. If your 45 days falls after our shutdown date, you will still be able to return your item for a full refund, if eligible. Since the site is shut down, there will be no exchanges for ShockHound merchandise, only refunds. FYI: CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE CANNOT BE RETURNED. ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON CLEARANCE MERCHANDISE.
 
What happened to my ShockHound profile?
 
Like the rest of this website, your profile has fallen into a deep, dark virtual abyss. And don't worry, ShockHound will never share your profile information or email address with any third parties; that info goes to the grave with us.
 
What do I do with pending mp3 downloads in my download manager?
 
Unfortunately, you can not access your download manager or any tracks within after May 9.
 
I still need awesome T-shirts, hoodies, vinyl, and music merch! Where do I go?
 
Fear not! Our friends at HotTopic.com have a vast selection of merch for your music-minded needs, including an expanded vinyl section!
